2017 Desert Classic DanceSport Competition

The Desert Classic DanceSport Championships was founded in 1999 as the Desert Classic DanceSport Festival--a one-day event. The Suvorovs acquired the competition in 2005 and expanded the number of events. In 2009, the competition was granted "Championship" status by the National Dance Council of America (NDCA) The Desert Classic offers over $90,000 in prize money--one of the largest prize purses in the country including a Professional Prize purse of $27,250, Pro/Am Scholarships & Prizes of $31,600 and a Top Teacher purse of $20,100.
